Andhagan is a crime thriller film directed by a well-known director of the Tamil film industry Thiagarajan. The screenplay of this dark comedy thriller film is written by Pattukkottai Prabakar along with director Thiagarajan. Furthermore, the Tamil Remake of Andhadhun is produced by Shanthu Thiagarajan and Preethi Thiagarajan under the banner of Staar Movies. In 2019, news came up that Tamil filmmaker Thiagarajan acquired the remake rights for Andhadhun. Initially, it was announced that Mohan Raja would direct the film in 2020 but Mohan Raja withdrew his name from the project and JJ Fredrick took over the role of director but for a short period only. Later, Thiagarajan became the director of Andhagan. The principal photography of Andhagan started in 2021 in Chennai and concluded in 2022. Ravi Yadav served as the cinematographer of the film and Santhosh Narayanan scored the background and composed the music of the film. Sathish Suriya is the editor of Andhagan.

A slight growth was also seen on Day 3 when the film collected Rs 1.25 Crore with an upward trend of 8.7 percent. On Day 4 and Day 5, Prashanth’s film collected Rs 0.5 Crore each day, taking the film’s box office collection to Rs 4.05 Crore in India net while the worldwide collection was Rs 4.7 Crore.
